God Made Me Funky was
absolutely the best live performance group I have ever
hired for an event. Our CEO commented that it was the first
time ever the entire company (of 900+ people) was up and
dancing. I will continue to use God Made Me Funky for
future events and highly recommend God Made Me Funky to
other event planners.

Thanks for organizing the
details for our wedding music.
The guests were so impressed by Mae and the

God Made Me Funky were awesome.
They agreed to learn one song for us if we wanted although
the song we wanted they already knew which was great.
They played as a trio during cocktails and then formed the
whole band for dinner music. Once the dancing was to start,
they really stepped it up. They kept the crowd dancing.
Even my uncle who NEVER dances, was on the floor. HIGHLY
RECOMMEND. Very cool people.

I just wanted to send out one
last, giant THANK YOU for an absolute fantastic job at our
wedding. You guys performed brilliantly, and did everything
we asked (including learning our first dance song – which
was so unexpected, but amazing!)
We have gotten rave reviews for our band (which I knew
would happen) and everyone had such a great time because of
you guys!
I hope that you all enjoyed yourselves too!
I hope that we can stay in touch – so please keep me on
your mailing list and let me know when/where GMMF is
playing – Eric and I will definitely be there (and we’ll
spread the word too). And, if you ever need us to help you
guys with anything (maybe you need a great reference, or
confirmation for someone) we’d be more than happy to help!

I’ve gotta tell ya … planning a
wedding is the biggest pain in the ass ever. If I had
to do it over again, I’d simply disappear and have a quiet
little ceremony with Mandy. The catering is
outrageously overpriced. Everything costs too
much. I’ve got a pile of crap still on my to do list
… and I’m getting married tomorrow!
Why am I telling you this? Because the one thing I’m
looking forward to … other than spending the rest of my
life with the most wonderful woman ever … is the band.
The CD release was amazing. You guys are absolutely
fantastic. You’re also the main reason I have some
sanity left.
I want to thank you in advance for helping us out with a
fair rate for the wedding. It’s appreciated.

Everyone loved them - it was an amazing event - so sorry
you couldn't be there - a one point the Mike and the sax
player were dancing and singing in the boxing ring - it was
just fantastic and they got tons of compliments from the
guests – so thank you

Shugga was everything and MORE than we could have ever
asked for of a wedding band!!! All our guests from our
parents friends to us young, rockin' folks ;) have asked
us: "WHO WAS THAT BAND?" "HOW CAN WE SEE THEM AGAIN?"
etc... etc... It really made our big day that much more
special :) Throughout the evening romance, ...love, funk
and positive high energy was kept alive through the music
that filled our reception hall! Thanks again sooo much,
boys!
We highly recommend Shugga for a wedding/event band! We
also want to thank, Arthur, for all his time and patience
before the wedding which resulted in the perfect evening
filled with wedding musical bliss ;)

Hello Arthur and Shugga: thanks for being the ultimate
wedding band! As you could probably tell, all of us -young,
old, Canadian crew and London party girls - absolutely
loved the music and could not stay away from that dance
floor (despite the extremely hot weather). The ceremony
music and horas were perfect. The danc...e music was
exactly what we wanted: fun, funky and high energy. We also
really appreciated your professionalism and responsiveness
to our multiple questions in the lead up to the big day.
We'll be sure to recommend you to others and look you guys
up if ever in Toronto.
