KATE KUNKEL - TORONTO WEDDING HARPIST

Kate Kunkel has played Folk Harp in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and throughout the western U.S. for the last 20 years. She has recently returned to Toronto, Canada to continue entertaining in her native land.

In addition to her regular hotel gigs and concert appearances, Kate has also played for conventions, at upscale dining establishments, wineries, and for weddings ceremonies and receptions.

An accomplished Harpist and recording artist, with four CDs, Kate is also co-author of the best-selling book, "The Healing Sound of Music".

Celtic Harp Vs. Concert Harp

The two most popular harps available for wedding and events are the grand Concert Harp and the Celtic Harp. Both instruments are extremely majestic and ethreal sounding. They conjur images of romance and fantasy making the harp a great choice for a wedding ceremony. The Concert Harp is generally larger than the Celtic Harp and is more verstaile in terms of the music it can play. The celtic harp is smaller and while much easier to transport it is somewhat limited in terms of the music selections however many of the popular wedding songs can be played on either harp.
