9 Virtual Entertainment Ideas for Your Internal Meetings
Your All-Access Pass To Planning the Perfect Virtual Event9 Virtual Entertainment Ideas For Your Internal Meetings
Does it seem like you do the exact same things every virtual internal meeting you have, no matter who you are meeting with? Do you notice that your employees look bored and half-awake as someone goes over a presentation or operational update?
It sounds like you need to switch things up by incorporating virtual entertainment into your meetings. Here are some great virtual entertainment ideas to put a kick in your meetings and re-energize your employees.
IDEA #1 PHOTO CHALLENGE
Take a break in the meeting for this quick but fun team-building exercise. Each person takes a turn and shows a picture or an object in their home. Everyone else then writes a caption for the picture or object. The group then votes to see who wrote the best caption. For somehting a little more advanced try a virtual photobooth and mosaic. This allows your guests to access an online photobooth where they can take a picture, boomerang, or gif and share with others by email or social media. You can remove backgrounds, add stickers and have it completely branded.
IDEA#2 GAMIFICATION
Gamification refers to virtual games that you can use to help spice up meetings and get everyone involved and thinking. You can use interactive polling to create “Top 10” lists, “virtual game show” type games, and more. You can even take a ride in the virtual “Cash Cab” with Adam Growe (Host of the hit television show Cash Cab for 6 seasons).
IDEA#3 HEALTH AND WELLNESS CHALLENGE
Get your employees up and on their feet. Hopefully, they are wearing pants! Take a short break with interactive health and wellness exercises. You can have a fitness expert demonstrate exercises people can do at home without any fitness equipment.
IDEA#4 ONE LIE AND THREE TRUTHS
This is a great ice breaker game you can use for new hires, new project teams, etc. Everyone tells one lie and three truths about themselves. Everyone else tries to guess which one is the lie. Not only does everyone get involved, but they also get to know about their coworkers.
IDEA# 5 VIRTUAL LIVE MUSIC
You could hire a band, like uRequest Live to take song requests and sing them live. Encourage everyone to request a song and get up and dance and move around. Dancing is an easy way to exercise and can re-energize your employees.
IDEA# 6 INTERACTIVE COMDEY
Who doesn’t love a good laugh? The comedian can tell jokes, “roast” employees, or poll participants to help get everyone involved, laughing, and having a great time. Take for example the group Free Daps. They combine freestyle rap and comedy using content provided by the audience such as words or objects they have lying around their homes or environments to create hilarious rap songs.
IDEA# 7 VIRTUAL PAINTING CLASS
Learn how to paint from an expert with a sip and paint class. Participants can sip coffee or tea while they learn more about painting, which can be a great stress reliever during these challenging times. Everyone can share their masterpieces virtually and vote on their favourites.
IDEA# 8 VIRTUAL COOKING CLASS
For “lunch and learn” meeting a virtual cooking class can be fun. Provide participants with a list of ingredients they need to have on hand before the meeting. During the meeting, a chef or professional cook walks everyone else through on how to prepare something delicious for lunch.
A variant of this is where you ask employees if they would be willing to share their favourite recipes. Then for each “class,” you feature a different employee.
IDEA# 9 WREATH OR FLORAL ARRANGING DEMOS
