Top Places To Propose In Toronto

Planning proposals in Toronto is frankly, so much fun! There are so many unique settings in our fair city that it allows us to really have some fun and create some spectacular marriage proposals! With the current pandemic this is actually one of the best times in recent history to pop the question. Why you ask? Many venues are offering micro wedding packages that will apply to proposals as well meaning that you can have access to venues that would have been very expensive to rent prior to COVID-19.  Here is a list of a few of our favourites:

GRAYDON HALL MANOR

Graydon Hall is one of the most beautiful and serene venues in the city of Toronto. With a majestic estate feel and sprawling outdoor terrace and garden make GHM a popular location for weddings as well as wedding proposals.

Architects Allan George and Walter Moorehouse built “Graydon House” at the cost of $250,000 in 1936. The 29-room Georgian manor was 130 feet (39.62 meters) long house and 50 feet (15.24 meters) wide.

The terraces, garden walls, auxiliary buildings, including the lodge, were built of the same variegated fieldstone as the house. This fieldstone matched the texture and colors of fieldstone of farmhouses in the area. The window trim, balustrades, port-cochere and the courtyard fountain were made of imported Indiana limestone.

Airship37

A blank canvas easily capable of being transformed into a romantic oasis. Located in the heart of the historic distillery district this venue is a hidden gem at which we have executed a few very spectacular proposals.

Close your eyes and picture this: Dim lights, string quartet, and a pathway lined with candles and rose petals leading her to you. This will be a major wow factor! Her heart will soar with the extraordinary details you’ve put together just for her. Suspend photos all around the room showing the adventures you’ve done together or post handwritten notes of reasons why you love her all over the walls. Set against the white and industrial canvas, the possibilities of this space are endless.

THE GREAT HALL

The Great Hall is a historic landmark in the heart of Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood offering class and convenience in a prime location.

Built in 1889 and fully restored in 2016, The Great Hall houses a total of 20,000 sq. ft. of versatile event space. The four venues inside the Great Hall are adaptable to your needs and can accommodate groups from 2 to 1200, providing the perfect setting for your next event.

Here is an example from a proposal we planned in the conversation room:

ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO

The AGO is a historical yet exciting place for engagement. Imagine having the gallery all to yourselves after hours for a private tour. When you and your future fiancé mosey towards AGO’s most distinctive architectural feature, Frank Gehry’s baroque-inspired Douglas fir-clad sculptural staircase, playfully become the guide and tell her “Gehry described the sculptural staircase as a space where people might bump into each other and perhaps even fall in love.” A good segue to take the next step with her! Spend the rest of the evening enjoying the fascinating exhibits enclosed at AGO, leading to a private dinner for the two of you. This proposal will go down in history.

Great opportunity to take some newly engaged photos that will go down in history!
