About Fusion Events
Pushing What Live Entertainment Can Do
Fusion Events is a Toronto event entertainment agency. Since 2008 we have been bringing new ideas and new technology to the stage before anyone else, and the acts people talk about afterward are usually ones we created ourselves.
A band that takes requests from every phone in the room. A game show the whole audience plays. AI experiences we build in house. We don't settle for the way events have always been done.

How We Started
Built to Fix Boring Events
Fusion Events started in Toronto in 2008, founded by a working musician who had played enough events to see the problem up close. Entertainment was booked last and treated like background noise.
We set out to make it the part of the night people talk about. First with better acts, then with acts nobody else had, then with technology nobody else was using yet.
In the early 2010s Google asked us for a choir in each of four or five cities, passing one medley live from city to city, years before livestreaming was ready for it. We made it look seamless. Not long after, an iPad on a wedding speech podium turned into uRequest Live. We have been pushing the same way ever since.
The status quo in events drives us nuts. So we keep building past it.
Pushing Boundaries
Innovation Is the Job
Leading with new ideas and new technology is why Fusion is one of Toronto's top entertainment agencies. A few of the things we built because nobody else had.
-
Live musicA band the audience controls
uRequest Live started as one iPad on a speech podium, and guests lined up all night to use it. Now every phone in the room can steer the show, with the band playing requests and shoutouts in real time. Nobody has managed to copy it.

Game showsThe keynote, replaced by a game
Majority Rules turns the whole room into one live vote. It launched at Go West in front of 300 event planners and is now running a nine city tour.

BroadcastOn air when venues went dark
When the pandemic closed every venue, we taught ourselves broadcast production and took the band, trivia and game shows online, including livestreams for Def Jam artists.
- Team building
Teams that write their own song
Song CoLab puts a team in a recording studio with professional songwriters and sends them home with an original song. Shopify called its session truly transformational.

AI built in house
We build our own event software with AI, from the Majority Rules voting app to AI photo booths that turn guests into anything they can imagine.

Our Philosophy
What We Believe
-
Never settle for the status quo
If an event format has been done the same way for ten years, we assume it can be better. Most of our best ideas started as frustration with something everyone else accepted.
-
Entertainment drives the night
It is not a filler between speeches. Built right, it carries the message, the energy and the memory of the whole event.
-
Guests take part, not just watch
Our formats hand the audience real control: what the band plays, what the room votes on, what the team writes. People remember what they helped create.
-
We read the room
Our founder learned on stage to drop the set list the moment a song was not going to land. Everyone we send to your event works the same way.
-
A small bench, built over decades
We work with a tight group of artists, performers and suppliers we have trusted for years, and we would rather do fewer events properly.
-
We build what we sell
uRequest Live, Majority Rules and Song CoLab are ours. We design the experience and the software behind it, so you will not find them at another agency.
The Founder
Arthur Kerekes
Arthur has spent 25 years bringing new technology into live entertainment before most people were ready for it. Booking bands, then a band the audience controls, then broadcast quality virtual shows, and now AI.
He came up as a saxophonist in God Made Me Funky, a Juno nominated funk band that opened for George Clinton and played the Vancouver Olympics. These days he hosts Majority Rules himself, builds the apps behind our experiences, and teaches event planners how to put AI to work.

Arthur Kerekes founded Fusion Events in Toronto in 2008, while he was still working as a professional musician. He still runs the company, hosts the Majority Rules game show and designs the technology behind our interactive experiences.
What does Fusion Events do?
Fusion Events is a Toronto event entertainment agency. We book, create and run entertainment for corporate events: live bands including uRequest Live, interactive game shows like Majority Rules, team building like Song CoLab songwriting sessions, photo experiences, livestreaming and event production. We also take on select event planning clients.
What makes Fusion Events different from other entertainment agencies?
Most of what we sell, we created. uRequest Live (the band your audience controls from their phones), Majority Rules (a live audience voting game show) and Song CoLab (teams write and record their own song) are our own formats and can only be booked through Fusion Events. Everything we build is designed so guests take part instead of just watching.
Where is Fusion Events based, and do you travel?
We are based in Toronto and work across the GTA, including Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Oakville, Brampton and Richmond Hill. We travel for corporate clients too: uRequest Live has performed across North America, including Las Vegas, as well as at the Four Seasons in Maui and in the Cayman Islands.
Who will I work with on my event?
Fusion Events is founder led, backed by a small bench of artists, performers and suppliers we have worked with for years. That includes uRequest Live musical director Anthony Wright, Grammy winning songwriter Liz Rodriguez and Juno nominated jazz artist Barbra Lica on Song CoLab, and Cash Cab Canada host Adam Growe on trivia and game shows.
